Within the depths of my mind,
A twisted being, you will find.
His eyes are black, his teeth are red,
The barrel of a gun against his head.
He snarls, he moans, he roars, he screams,
For his mind is tearing at the seams.
Also deep within my mind,
A sulking figure, you will find.
His clothes are black, his eyes he shuts,
His upper arms are lined with cuts.
His inner demons taunt and hiss,
With memories of that first kiss.
Deeper still within my mind,
A terrible demon, you will find.
His laugh is loud, his claws are long,
As he schemes all day long.
He is the source of violence here,
Inflicting pain on those that are near.
My eyes open. The world is dark, black, like night, but not night. This darkness is tangible, and it hangs like a thick blanket over my body. I slowly sit up. I am in a dark forest of black trees. Black leaves fall from black branches to the black ground. Grey mist rises up to my waist in all directions.
I stand. Looking back at the trees, I see that they have changed. Black, figureless figures hang in the trees. Some are men, some are women, yet none have characteristics that would suggest a personality. They remind me of stick figures.
I hear voices calling to me from beyond the tree-line. They are calling my name, though it is more li
I am the voice when you come into death,
I am the whisper of your final breath.
I am the blood that is spilled on the floor,
I am your life that now is no more.
I am the blood that is cold in your veins,
I am the darkness that comes with the rain.
I am the fire that burns through your life,
I am the fear that cuts like a knife.
I am the silence that comes in the night,
I am the fury that causes you fright.
I am the blackness you see when you die,
I am the kiss of your last goodbye.
I am the irony of your final day,
I am the price that you now must pay.
I am the terror that rips through your soul,
I am the cold when Strife tak
"What are you laughing at?" I glared sullenly at my friend, "You're the one who got us into this mess in the first place." I began pulling the thorns out of my hand. As I did so, I started recollecting the events of the evening.
When my friend began pounding on my door at eight pm, my first emotion was annoyance. What did he want at this hour? He finally figured out that my door was unlocked and burst into my house. "You've gotta come here," he said, "There's some crazy stuff going down outside." My interest piqued, I shrugged and followed him outside.
I gawked. For no apparent reason, people were smashing cars, with cacti, of all thing
